The Dubai Mall as mentioned earlier is the world’s largest mall in the world by floor area and it is the 21st largest mall in the world by leasable area. The mall is home to a large collection of shops ranging from boutique shops to flagship stores. The mall is also a popular tourist hotspot with a wide range of attractions.

A mall can be commonly known as a large enclosed shopping area that includes various kinds of shops that sell essential commodities to luxury goods. But there’s more than meets the eye to the Dubai mall, from shops, cafes, restaurants, cinemas, to even an aquarium this mall has it all. Other attractions of the mall include a virtual reality-themed park and a ski park with real snow!

Construction

The Dubai mall was constructed on a land that spans over a staggering 13million square feet. The mall has a floor area of 5.9million square feet and a leasable area of 3.77million sqft. The construction of the expansive structure commenced on May 5, 2004 and was completed and opened to the public four years later on 4 November 2008.

Visiting here

Visiting the mall is one must things to do in Dubai and getting here is very easy too. The mall is located in the Downtown Dubai area. You can reach by getting yourself a taxi. Even you are stationed in a resort in Abu Dhabi, Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa by Anantara for example, you can reach here easily through Ghweifat International Highway.
