Commonly referred to as “MC”, Majestic City was pretty much the first large-scale mall in Colombo. Despite facing competition from newer malls, it is still one of the favoured choices amongst shoppers.

Getting there

Centrally located in the area known as Bambalapitiya (or Colombo 04), Majestic City is right on the main Galle Road. Easy to reach from the city centre or from hotels in the suburbs such as Siddhalepa ANARVA Mount Lavinia, the mall is open from 9am daily.

Fashionistas rejoice

When it comes to fashion, stores like Odel, Cotton Collection, Hameedia’s and Mondy are all popular, while for branded international perfumes Exclusive Lines and Parfumerie are the shops to visit. Footwear and watch shops are also easy to find here so you can plan on fully updating your wardrobe!

Electronics galore

Be you staying in the heart of the city or at a hotel near Colombo, Majestic City is an ideal place to go to for the latest electronic items or mobile phones. Samsung, Nokia, Huawei, Apple and HTC mobile devices can be easily found along with shops specialising in phone accessories.

Food & Entertainment

The food court at the mall offers lots of choice from local dishes and international cuisines to snacks, drinks and desserts. There is a special play area for kids, while a total of four onsite cinemas screen some of the latest Hollywood blockbusters.
