Fondly known as Little Hong Kong, the area was well known for its commercialisation and at present, the path is home to over four hundred shops and boutiques that sell a variety of goodies ranging from clothes and edible items to appliances.
The street itself is composed of three separate segments, namely, the Finance and Insurance District, the Special Shops District and the Department Store District. True to its name, the Finance and Insurance District is home to a multitude of financial institutions such as the Bank of China and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
