Hua Hin Shopping
If shopping comes to mind, then Hua Hin night market in the town centre is worth a visit to rummage through neon lit merchandise such as jewellery, beachwear, home wares and knockoffs. However the best buys here is the delicious Thai street food. 7 pm is the time when the market is ready for business. The nearby Chat Chai or day market is where locals pick up groceries, seafood, flowers and everyday household items.
A relatively new addition to the shopping scene is the Cicada Art Market with its arts inspired concept. It is divided into four art inspired areas; art of eating, art of act, art indoors and art a la mode. Art a la mode which is the largest area is dedicated to souvenirs, home accessories, clothes and handicrafts. Art indoors has two galleries that sell art and host art and photography exhibitions. Art of act’s amphitheatre style concert ground hosts all kinds of dance performances from the traditional to the modern and musical shows. The ‘art of eating’ corner offers a delectable selection of Thai and international food, snacks and sweets. The mix of entertainment, food and art displays makes for a fun filled evening. This market is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the action starts here at 4 pm.
