Laksala is known for its many handicraft items and mementos where one can buy keepsakes of your holiday, while Barefoot is a wonderful place to buy products that have a distinct ‘ethnic’ feel to them. For something truly different head over to the area known as Pettah; explore its winding and chaotic streets full of character and where you will come across open air markets and bazaars selling ‘everything under the sun’ for a reasonable price too, depending on how well you can haggle!
